All-Star Cheer

 

TNT & PDC Cheer offers Cheer training for all ages.  From two to ninety-two, anyone can come in and join the fun.  At this time we offer three different cheer squads to choose from depending on age.  

Tiny Cheer "Fireflies"
BIRTH DATE 2016 - 2018
Tiny Level 1

Team members will be learning sharp motion techniques with solid placement.  A team member will learn beginning jumps with proper technique, with a combination of good height and execution.  The team member will learn to demonstrate Standing Tumbling Skills: Forward roll, straddle roll, hand stand, hand stand forward roll, front lumber, front walk over, cartwheel, backward roll, back extension roll, push up to backbend, standing backbend, backbend kick over, back walkover, connected skills including cartwheel/back walk over. Running Tumbling Skills: Round off, cartwheel back walkover, front walkover to cartwheel/roundoff, cartwheel 1/2 turn front walkover. Forward and backward roll, cartwheel, round-off, and back walk-overs. The team member will work towards a standing back handspring.  The team will learn beginning stunting skills and learn the importance of safety.  (Knee stands, thigh stands, prep)  The team member will learn to have good overall cheer performance skills, become physically fit, and demonstrate strength in stunting ability.  The mini team will learn how to behave in a sportsmanlike manner and respect all other teams and coaches.

Level 1

Junior Team "C-4 Elite" B

Level 2 
Team members should demonstrate sharp motion technique with solid placement, level or hyper-extended jump combinations with solid technique.  Team members will learn to execute toe touches into back handsprings. Standing Tumbling Skills: Standing back handspring, Back handspring step out, back extension roll back handspring, back walkover back handspring. Running Tumbling Skills: Cartwheel BHS round off BHS round off BHS step out, round off BHS series, round off BHS series step out, round off BHS step out to ro BHS front walkover to ro/fwo to BHS series. The team members will learn a back and front handspring, multiple back handsprings, forward and backward tumbling passes.  The team members will learn and demonstrate intermediate stunting skills and learn the importance of safety.  (Prep, full, single-leg prep, combination pyramid, baskets)  The junior team will demonstrate the ability to learn stunts and dance material quickly.  The junior team will have excellent performance skills, will perform and behave in a sportsmanlike manner, and will demonstrate respect for all other teams and coaches.

Team members should demonstrate sharp motion technique with solid placement, level or hyper-extended jump combinations with solid technique. Team members will learn to execute toe touches into back handsprings. Standing Tumbling Skills: Standing back handspring, Back handspring step out, back extension roll back handspring, back walkover back handspring. Running Tumbling Skills: Cartwheel BHS round off BHS round off BHS step out, round off BHS series, round off BHS series step out, round off BHS step out to RO BHS front walkover to RO/FWO to BHS series. The team members will learn a back and front handspring, multiple back handsprings, forward and backward tumbling passes. Teams are also allowed to do one twist to extended one-legged stunts and 1 1/2 twist to prep level one-legged stunts. Two skills are allowed in a basket toss. Example double twist or kick full.  The team members will learn and demonstrate intermediate stunting skills and learn the importance of safety. The Senior team will have excellent performance skills, will perform and behave in a sportsmanlike manner, and will demonstrate respect for all other teams and coaches.

Inversion: Level Appropriate: Downward inversion from extended stunt, Downward inversion from extended one leg stunt, Released inversion from prep level to extension, Released inversion from prep level to lib. Elite Level Appropriate: Released inversion from prep level or above to extended body position. Release Style: Level Appropriate: 1/4 turn switch up to one leg stunt, high to high lib to lib tic toc, low to high lib to lib tic toc, 1/2 turn switch up to extended one leg stunt, high to high lib to body position tic toc, low to high lib to body position tic toc, twisting helicopter release. Elite Level Appropriate: High to high body position to body position tic toc, Switch up full turn, 1/2 ball up to extended body position. Twisting: Level Appropriate: Full up to extended one leg stunt, 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 up to extended stunt, 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 up to extended one leg stunt. Elite Level Appropriate: Double up to extended stunt. Dismount Style: Level Appropriate: Double down from one leg stunt, kick double twisting dismount. Non-Twisting: Pike hitch kick, Pike kick pretty girl, pike switch kick, hitch kick kick. Twisting: Ball double full, Pike double full, Kick double full, Toe touch double full, Double up toe touch, Hitch kick double full, switch kick double full, full kick full, Kick full kick full. The team members will learn and demonstrate advanced stunting skills and learn the importance of safety. The Stunt Pod will have excellent performance skills, will perform and behave in a sportsmanlike manner, and will demonstrate respect for all other teams and coaches.
